Misao has always had the ability to see supernatural beings: ghosts, spirits, and demons - but now that she's turned 16, she finds her "gift" annoying and even hazardous!

Note: As for the name "Misao," the author regrets the choice because of the many strokes in the Chinese characters.

Kyo Usui
(烏水 匡)

He is Misao's new neighbor in the mansion next door. The mansion has been empty since Misao was a child, but she has vague memories of playing there with a good friend ...

Kyo comes back for Misao as he promised. After 10 year absence, he suddenly re-appears to protect her. He is a tengu and the head of his whole clan. Most demons want to keep Misao's power for themselves by eating her, but Kyo wants to make her his bride and live with her happily.

"I meant for him to be around 20... But, in his role as a teacher (although he might not be old enough to be one) he looks older, so I couldn't bring myself to state his age. He was supposed to be a very different character, but I was forced to cut pages and he turned out to be not a bad character at all." Kanoko Sakurakoji

Shuhei Kuzunoha
(葛葉 修平)

Age: 16
Height: 5'8"

Kuzunoha refers to a fox in a kabuki play. (It is supposed to have turned into a human and given birth to Abe no Seimei...)
In the beginning, I had trouble getting a grasp on Shuhei's character, but he gradually took shape as I kept drawing. In black and white, it's impossible to tell whether his hair is silver or blond, isn't it?
